Nile and Ruth Rupe home 1932
The Crandals 1890

Our little house on the prairie was built in 1932 for my parents from recycled bricks that were made by a German immigrant in the 1880's. The site that it was built on was homesteaded in 1876 by my grandfather's partners, the Crandal family who lived in a sod house. They moved, and my Grandfather bought the land. We were able to keep our home due to the hard work of our parents and have updated it to a fully functioning bed and breakfast due a extensive restoration and lots of labor. Our love of land and home makes a unique experience for guests wanting to get away from hectic. If you are inclined to like back roads, wildlife, pets, barns, tractors, trucks and solitude, maybe you should book a stay.
